After a successful roll out last August and an effectual on-site delivery of their services in September, the Social Security System will be back at the Carbon Public Market on October 18-19, 2022 for another round of ‘SSS on Wheels’.
What makes the event more anticipating this time is the ID Capturing service. “SSS on Wheels” will be bringing the technology at the Carbon Public Market on October 19, 2022 which is open for all of its members.
According to Cebu2World Development (C2W) in a statement that for those who would like to avail the abovementioned service, members are required to bring photocopies of at least two valid IDs.
It is free of charge for members who have no SSS Identification Card yet, but has ₱200.00 charge for those who already got their IDs before but in need of a new one.
“SSS on Wheels” will be located at the Atrium of the Carbon Interim Building from 8 AM until 5 PM. SSS will prioritize the vendors of the Carbon Public Market and government employees, but this initiative is open to the public.
This partnership between the Social Security System and Cebu2World Development, Inc. is a step towards bringing government services closer to the general public. This is projected to at least address the usual concern of long queues observed in SSS offices even for a specific period of time.
Cebu2World Development, Inc. is a wholly-owned subsidiary of engineering and infrastructure innovator, Megawide Construction Corporation. C2W is undertaking the Modernization of the Carbon District Project under a joint-venture agreement with the City Government of Cebu.
The modernization project includes the development of the Carbon district into an economic and heritage destination and the improvement of its overall security, sanitation and infrastructure.
