The Oklahoma City Thunder are one win away from clinching their first NBA championship since relocating, following a 120-109 victory over the Indiana Pacers in Game 5 of the 2025 NBA Finals on Monday.

Jalen Williams starred with 40 points, while MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander chipped in 31 points, 10 assists, and four blocks. The win gives the Thunder a 3-2 series edge as the Finals head to Indianapolis for Game 6 on Thursday.

The Pacers rallied from an 18-point deficit, cutting the lead to just two after Pascal Siakam hit a clutch three-pointer midway through the fourth. But Oklahoma City answered quickly with a critical three by Williams, assisted by Lu Dort after a key offensive rebound by Cason Wallace.

Wallace followed that with a steal and fastbreak dunk, sparking an 18-4 Thunder run that sealed the win.

After a cold shooting performance in Game 4, Oklahoma City rediscovered its rhythm, knocking down 14 three-pointers. Williams, now on a hot streak, finished 14-of-25 from the field and added six rebounds and four assists.

Despite playing through a leg injury, Indiana’s Tyrese Haliburton struggled, finishing with only four points on 0-of-6 shooting. Siakam led the Pacers with 28 points, and T.J. McConnell contributed 18 off the bench.

The Thunder defense played a pivotal role, turning 23 Pacers turnovers into 32 points, including 13 in the final quarter alone.

Game 6 could crown a new NBA champion if Oklahoma City secures the win in Indiana.
