The TNT Tropang Giga claimed their second consecutive PBA Governors’ Cup championship on Friday, overcoming Barangay Ginebra San Miguel with a 95-85 victory at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

Down 74-66 at the start of the fourth quarter, TNT mounted a decisive comeback. Rondae Hollis-Jefferson, who was named Best Import, led the charge with consecutive baskets to close the gap, while Rey Nambatac’s three-pointer tied the game. The two teams exchanged leads until TNT surged ahead with RR Pogoy’s three-pointer and Kelly Williams’ layup. Hollis-Jefferson and Pogoy sealed the win with clutch plays, outscoring Ginebra 29-11 in the final quarter.

TNT head coach Chot Reyes credited Ginebra’s Coach Tim Cone for making strategic adjustments throughout the series, calling the Game 6 victory “a hell of a series.” Hollis-Jefferson’s stellar performance included 31 points, 15 rebounds, and eight assists, while Pogoy and Jayson Castro contributed 13 points each. RJ Abarrientos led Ginebra with a career-high 31 points, while Justin Brownlee added 16 points.
