A tragic accident occurred in Talisay City, Cebu, where a motorcycle rider fell off a 100-foot ravine. The body of 23-year-old Benjie Acruz was discovered at dawn on November 1, 2024, in Sitio Santol, Barangay Campo Cuatro.
According to the City of Talisay Traffic Operations and Development Authority, Acruz, a resident of Barangay Kalunasan and originally from Pinamungajan, was identified through his driver’s license after his remains were located near a riverbank.
The discovery was made by a group of teenagers who alerted barangay officials shortly after 4 a.m. Local disaster response teams quickly arrived on the scene to assist.
The incident has left the local community in shock, as investigations into the circumstances surrounding the accident continue.
