It appears that the incident involving a 58-year-old woman in San Carlos City, Pangasinan, who died after being bitten twice by a snake while in a field, has not been widely covered beyond the initial report. The victim, Mercedes Exiomo, was in the field to pick vegetables for sale when the incident occurred. Despite being taken to a medical facility, she passed away due to severe envenomation caused by the snake bites. The local health authorities advise that in the event of a snake bite, it’s critical to seek immediate medical attention and not to try home remedies like cutting or sucking out the venom.
