Cianne Dominguez, a host of the popular noontime show “It’s Showtime,” is recovering from a traumatic incident where she was the victim of an attempted assault in her own home. Her father, Johng Florendo, shared the distressing details of the event on his Facebook page, revealing that the alleged perpetrator, identified as Shervey S. Torno, a gay bar dancer and performer, followed Dominguez to her condo and attempted to force his way in.

The incident unfolded as Torno allegedly prevented the door from closing, grabbed Dominguez by the waist, and tried to kiss her. Fortunately, Dominguez was able to resist and fend off the attacker. Florendo’s post included a video clip showing the suspect fleeing the scene, which he later removed from social media.

Currently, the suspect is in custody with the Quezon City Police District 10, facing charges related to the incident. Specific details about the complaints filed have not been disclosed.

The family is now calling for prayers and support for Dominguez as she deals with the aftermath of this harrowing experience. As of now, Dominguez has not made any public statements regarding the incident.
