The Alpha Phi Omega (APO) Fraternity Inc. continued its annual tradition with the Oblation Run 2025 at UP Diliman, using the event to advocate for fair and honest elections ahead of the May 2025 midterms.

This year’s theme, “Boto Mo, Hindi Benta Mo!”, focused on vote-buying, political dynasties, lack of voter education, and the spread of fake news. Ten nude, masked fraternity members and alumni ran through Palma Hall, carrying placards with statements such as “Vote not for sale,” “Impeach Sara now,” and “UP not for sale.”

APO alumni spokesperson Atty. Fritz Sapon emphasized the importance of voting wisely, stating that the elections will impact future generations. He also reiterated that the run is not just a spectacle, but a platform to amplify pressing issues.

Originating in 1977 during Martial Law, the Oblation Run has become a symbolic protest for social, political, and environmental causes, inspired by the UP Oblation statue’s message of self-sacrifice for the greater good.
