Vice President Sara Duterte has urged the Muslim community to pray for peace and forgiveness as they observe the holy month of Ramadan.
In a video message, Duterte emphasized the importance of sacrifice and obedience, calling them “cornerstones to a path leading to enlightenment and grace.” She also expressed hope for an inclusive and dignified future for all Filipinos.
Ramadan officially began on Sunday, March 2, following the announcement by Bangsamoro Grand Mufti Sheikh Abdulrauf Guialani that the crescent moon was not sighted on February 28.
Muslims around the world observe Ramadan through fasting, prayer, and self-reflection, deepening their faith and commitment to Islamic teachings.
