Golden State Warriors superstar Stephen Curry will be out for at least a week after suffering a Grade 1 strain in his left hamstring, the team announced Wednesday. The injury was confirmed by MRI, and his return will depend on his progress in rehab, according to ESPN.
Curry sustained the injury during Game 1 of the Western Conference semifinal against the Minnesota Timberwolves, shortly after hitting a floater in the second quarter. He exited with 13 points in just 13 minutes, having shot 5-of-9 from the field, including three three-pointers.
With a one-week timeline, the earliest Curry could return is Game 5 in Minneapolis on May 14—if the series goes that far. Game 6 would take place May 18 in San Francisco. Curry, 37, averaged 24 points, 5.9 rebounds, and 5.7 assists in the first-round series win over the Houston Rockets.
