In a significant career move, Willie Revillame has officially rejoined TV5, marking the occasion with a new contract alongside Media Quest Ventures. The signing event, which took place on April 26, included notable figures such as MediaQuest Holdings and Cignal TV president Jane Basas, TV5 president Guido Zaballero, MediaQuest Holdings CFO John Andal, and Sienna Olaso.
During the ceremony, Revillame expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to return, acknowledging past challenges with other networks but affirming his commitment to his new role without reservations. He notably thanked his previous network, GMA, and its executives, illustrating his professional grace and readiness to move forward.
Revillame has pledged his wholehearted support to TV5, promising to nurture not only his upcoming show but also to contribute creatively to the network at large, even offering his services voluntarily if needed. While details of his new program are still under wraps, Revillame hinted that it would involve a game show format, distinct from his previous hit “Wowowin.”
This marks Revillame’s exciting return to TV5, where he previously hosted from 2010 to 2013, and aligns with earlier hints of his comeback following discussions at the TV5 Media Center in March. The network and Revillame are eager to explore fresh ideas and contribute innovatively to the Philippine television landscape.
