Tristan “Yawi” Cabrera is back in the Philippines, signing with TNC Pro Team for the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League (MPL) Philippines.
The Phoenix Army announced the return of the veteran roamer, who parted ways with MPL Indonesia’s Team Liquid Indonesia after two successful seasons. Yawi previously helped the team secure the MPL Indonesia Season 14 championship.
Yawi’s return follows his stint abroad, which began in February 2024 when he joined Aura Esports for MPL Indonesia Season 13. The team later rebranded to Team Liquid Indonesia in Season 14.
A standout in Mobile Legends esports, Yawi was a key player for Echo’s victories in the M4 World Championship and MPL Philippines Season 11. Now, he aims to help TNC bounce back from a winless Season 14 campaign, where the team finished with a 0-14 record.
Other Moves in Team Liquid Indonesia
Aside from Yawi, Team Liquid Indonesia also bid farewell to Filipino EXP laner James “Jeymz” Gloria, who has not yet announced his next team.
