
VIGAN CITY, ILOCOS SUR — The 12-day One Ilocos Sur Festival concluded with a star-studded lineup, celebrating the province’s culture with high-energy performances from top OPM artists and television personalities.
Festival Highlights:
- Grand Opening: Kyle Echarri and Kai Montinola kicked off the festivities, which featured a massive drone show and a display at the provincial capitol attended by approximately 40,000 guests.
- Street Dance Competition: Maris Racal and Paul Salas served as guest artists for the showdown. The town of San Juan emerged as the winner, followed by Vigan City and Candon City.
- One Ilocos Sur Night: The festival reached its peak during its closing night with performances by:
- Yeng Constantino
- Arthur Nery and Adie
- Flow G
- Michael Sager, River Joseph, Earl Agustin, and FitterKarma.
- Special Features:
- Tattoo Expo: Descendants of the legendary mambabatok Apo Whang-Od shared the heritage of traditional Kalinga tattooing.
- Esports & Cosplay: Pinoy Big Brother alum Myrtle Sarrosa served as a judge for the anime and gaming character competitions.
Other Events:
The multi-day celebration also included a grand parade, a Mister Ilocos Sur pageant, a motocross competition, a food and trade fair, and the traditional Los Patrones procession.
