Thirteen Chinese nationals arrested in a raid on an alleged Philippine Offshore Gaming Operator (POGO) hub in Pasay City were confirmed fugitives from China, according to the Chinese Embassy.

As reported on 24 Oras, the Presidential Anti-Organized Crime Commission (PAOCC) submitted their identities, revealing their involvement in cryptocurrency and investment scams, as well as illegal activities using prohibited messaging apps.

PAOCC executive director Gilbert Cruz expressed concerns over how these individuals entered the country despite existing bans and Interpol notices. Authorities suspect they may have used unauthorized routes or false documentation.

Meanwhile, investigations revealed that some foreign workers who fled previous POGO raids in Bamban, Tarlac, and Porac, Pampanga, have relocated to smaller operations in Pasay. The PAOCC is prioritizing their deportation and working with the Bureau of Immigration on a backtrack investigation.
