Legazpi City — A 4.5 magnitude of earthquake rocked in Bicol at 5:15 PM on Wednesday.

Paul Alanis, PHIVOLCS resident volcanologist chief said that the epicenter of the 4.5 earthquake hit in Masbate.

According to Phivolcs, the 4.5-magnitude earthquake was tectonic in origin with a depth of 008 kilometers in Dimasalang town in Masbate.

The strongest intensity hit in the cities of Masbate and Legazpi. Intensity V recorded in Masbate City, Intensity III in Legazpi City, Intensity II in Tabaco City, Albay including in Iriga City in Camarines Sur; Bulusan, Sorsogon while Intensity I, hit in Pasacao town in Camarines Sur.

It will be recalled that in August 18, 2020, a 6.5 earthquake rocked in Cataingan Masbate that claimed one person and injured several people after the strongest quake jolted in Masbate three years ago. (Raydes B. Barcia)
