A devastating fire in Barangay Longos, Malabon City, claimed the lives of four people early Thursday morning, according to a report from Super Radyo dzBB’s Allan Gatus on Dobol B TV.
A relative of the victims confirmed that the fatalities included her three siblings and a niece, aged between nine and 38 years old. One of the victims was a person with a disability.
The Bureau of Fire Protection – National Capital Region (BFP-NCR) reported that the fire broke out at around 3:45 a.m. and quickly escalated, reaching the first alarm by 3:52 a.m. It spread across six houses, affecting approximately 10 families or 41 individuals. Firefighters managed to put out the blaze by 6:52 a.m.
Authorities have yet to determine the cause of the fire and assess the total damage.
