MANILA, Philippines – Former “Pinoy Big Brother” housemate Amanda Zamora has denied speculations of a romantic involvement with actor-singer Daniel Padilla.
Zamora addressed the rumors in a statement on her Instagram Story on Tuesday, July 30, urging netizens to stop spreading baseless rumors and fake news. “I kindly ask everyone to stop spreading baseless rumors and fake news where I am in no way associated with,” she wrote, referring to the speculations about her and Padilla.
Zamora also called for kindness and discernment in using social media. “May we be kinder in words towards one another and practice discernment, especially on the internet. Thank you, Amanda,” she added.
The rumors began after entertainment insider Ogie Diaz suggested on his showbiz vlog on July 25 that Padilla might be dating someone named Amanda. “Totoo nga ba na ang bagong girlfriend ni DJ ay Amanda? Hindi naman natin alam ‘yan. Binabasa lang naman natin ‘yan, at bahala na sila (Is it true that DJ has a new girlfriend named Amanda? We don’t know that. We’re just reading what was given to us. Let’s let them be),” Diaz said.
Padilla has not confirmed or denied the rumors. He was previously in a long-term relationship with actress Kathryn Bernardo, with the couple confirming their breakup in November 2023.
