This Sunday morning, October 23, tons of oil has spilled after a trailer truck overturned in a road in Iloilo City according to a report from ABS CBN News.
According to the driver, the reason of the accident is he was going up to the bridge when a tire of the oil truck suddenly popped off.
25 tons of palm oil amounting to P3 million pesos was carried by the truck.
This made the residents to scoop it up and put the oil spilled in the bucket.
Immediately, the authorities ruled the residents to refrain from doing it due to its possible contamination that may no longer be used for cooking.
To give way for the clean-up, the road is temporarily closed to prevent possible accidents from the slippery roadway.
