Manila, Philippines – Angel Colmenares, father of actress Angel Locsin, has passed away at the age of 98.
The news was confirmed by Bago City Councilor Joseph Colmenares, who shared his condolences on Facebook, writing:
“My deepest sympathy and condolences to the family of Angel Locsin. May you find eternal peace and happiness. Rest in peace, Lolo Budi.”
Colmenares was known for his athletic achievements, having been part of the Philippine swimming team that won a bronze medal in the 4×200-meter freestyle relay at the 1954 Asian Games held in Manila.
Locsin has yet to release a statement regarding her father’s passing.
