Barbie Forteza is embracing both fitness and advocacy as she takes on back-to-back runs for meaningful causes. After setting a personal 10-kilometer record in a fun run benefiting Save the Children Philippines, the Kapuso Primetime Princess laced up once again for Takbo Babae — a women-led initiative advocating against violence toward women and children.
Barbie expressed her inspiration and empowerment from the event, saying, “I feel so empowered seeing all these women and men running to fight for an end to violence against women. Iba talaga ang push ‘pag may pinaglalaban!”
Fellow celebrities like Camille Prats and Kristoffer Martin praised her commitment to advocacy and health. Kristoffer even playfully commented, “Aba sunod sunod ah! Galing galing frenny!”
Barbie has been making running part of her routine this year, having previously joined morning jogs with Alden Richards and Kristoffer Martin. She shared how running helps clear her mind and serves as a great emotional release.
She’s also busy with upcoming projects including Kontrabida Academy with Eugene Domingo, P77 alongside Euwenn Mikaell and Gina Pareño, and a new show under director Mark Reyes.
