Manila, Philippines – Dreamscape Entertainment has put to rest rumors that actress Barbie Imperial is no longer part of FPJ’s Batang Quiapo. The production company clarified that Imperial remains involved in the show and continues to communicate with the team, despite speculation following her trip to Italy.
Rumors about her possible departure began circulating when netizens noticed that Imperial was in Italy, accompanying her rumored boyfriend, actor Richard Gutierrez, who was filming his upcoming drama Incognito in the country. However, Dreamscape Entertainment emphasized in a statement on October 3 that there is “no truth to the rumors” of her exit. The production assured fans that Imperial’s character, Tisay, will feature in upcoming episodes.
Imperial herself shared Dreamscape’s statement on Instagram, reaffirming her commitment to the series.
In Batang Quiapo, Imperial plays Tisay, a singer and gambler who crosses paths with Coco Martin’s character, Tanggol. She first appeared in the series in August, but further developments in her role have yet to be unveiled.
