The BBM-Sara grand rally yesterday in Cebu draws 300,000 crowd, police estimates.
“Eto na ang pinakamalaking rally sa aming buong kampanya,” said Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos, Jr. addressing the sea of red crowd amidst cheering and shouting of Marcos-Duterte!.
His runningmate, Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte said Cebu has spoken as the thunderous applause of the crowd shouting “daug na!, daug na!, daug nal!”.
Even Cebu Governor Gwendolyn Garcia, the founder One Cebu, who earlier endorsed the candidacy of Marcos-Duterte said during the rally that the victory of both candidates is already assured.
Marcos and Duterte likewise promised the people that they will work on for the continuation of President Rodrigo Duterte’s Build Build Build Program, which is an infrastructure program of the incumbent president.
They also promised to work for a better and quality education, employment generation and a peaceful community.
The event was also attended by the majority of candidates and incumbent officials of Cebu Province as well as the cities of Mandaue, Cebu and Lapu-Lapu.
The program which started at 1pm ended at around 9pm and capped with a grand display of fireworks for more than 30 minutes. -(April Therese Tan)
