The Cebu City Emergency Operations Center is now studying the opening of cinemas and amusement activities.
Cebu City EOC chief implementer and City Councilor Joel Garganera, however said that this is assuming that the city will be lowering its COVID-19 status by the end of the month.
“This is part of our effort to revive the economy and movie industry while also studying its conduciveness especially on whether the public can self-regulate themselves with minimal governmental supervision,” said Garganera.
Garganera also said that this morning, October 18, 2021, the city’s EOC was graced by the presence of Dr. Bryan Lim, who together with some doctors, participated in an Air Quality Lecture that can help them with the implementation of protocols in different establishments to prevent the transmission of COVID-19.
This lecture, Garganera said can help the EOC set their standards in the inspection of bars, re-opening schools and different establishments, especially those with closed areas and little ventilation.
Garganera added that within the week, they will be meeting with the different sectors to cascade information on new protocols including the use of the Non-dispersive Infrared Sensors (NDIRs) for measuring CO2 levels in establishments. (By: April Therese Tan)
