Cebu Governor Gwendolyn Garcia issue a new Executive Order regulating the purchase or drawing of fuel in gasoline stations in the province.
Garcia in her EO issued today, December 21, 2021 stated that drawing of gasoline and diesel fuel shall be direct to the tank and limited only to the full tank capacity of each vehicle.
The EO which will take effect at 12:01 am of December 22, 2021 stated that all persons drawing fuel from authorized gas stations shall be prohibited from filling barrels, drums and other containers for fuel.
Garcia’s memo added that only those authorized to draw fuel to barrels, drums, and other containers, such as but not limited to hospitals, hotels, banks and other essential and public service establishments, shall be allowed, provided, they can show proof the nature of business, such as, but not limited to, their business permits.
The EO said that the drawing of fuel for residential generators shall only be up to ten liters, provided that proof of ownership of a generator is presented such as pictures or purchase receipts.
“Gas stations and other authorized dealers of gasoline and diesel fuel are prohibited from increasing their prices over and above the existing rates, “ the EO further reads.-(April Therese Tan)
