Hinimok ng Department of Health (DOH) ang publiko na manatiling mapagmatyag at iwasan ang pakikitungo sa mga scammer na nagpapanggap na opisyal ng ahensya.
“The said scam will start off as a random number posing as a DOH official and will then solicit favors in acquiring gift cards,” ayon sa DOH sa isang pahayag.
Sinabi ng DOH na hindi ito manghihingi ng ganitong pabor sa iba pang unit ng departamento, ahensya ng gobyerno, o sa publiko.
“In light of this, any individual who experiences such modus should not share personal information to these scammers and instead block and immediately report them to the authorities,” ika ng DOH.
Maaaring iulat ng publiko ang mga naturang ilegal na gawain sa National Bureau of Investigation- Anti Fraud Division sa pamamagitan ng email nito sa afad@nbi.gov.ph o tumawag sa Philippine National Police Anti-Cybercrime Group sa pamamagitan ng hotline number nito sa (8) 732-0401 local 7491.
