The Department of Health (DOH) has mobilised more than ₱10 million worth of essential health commodities in Luzon in anticipation of Severe Tropical Storm Uwan. Supplies include medicines for cough and fever, antibiotics, maintenance medications, hygiene kits, and containers of safe drinking water.
These pre‑positioned resources are part of the department’s heightened emergency preparedness: medical teams and hospital facilities have been placed on standby in regions forecast to experience the storm’s impact. Officials emphasised that the move aims to ensure timely response and reduce health risks in evacuation centres and affected communities.
