MAYNILA – Maglulunsad ng anti-Violence Against Women and Children’s (VAWC) desk ang Department of Social Welfare and Development, ayon sa pahayag ng ahensya nitong Marso 3.
Ilulunsad ng DSWD ang naturang aktibidad sa Robinson’s Novaliches at Ever Gotesco sa Quezon City sa darating na Marso 13 hanggang 24, bilang pagsuporta sa Women’s Month.
“In support to gender equality and in celebration of the National Women’s Month this March, the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) will be conducting advocacy activities such as the establishment of anti-Violence Against Women and Children’s (VAWC) desks in Robinson’s Novaliches and Ever Gotesco, Commonwealth, both in Quezon City, from March 13 to 24, 2023,” saad nito sa pahayag.
Hahawakan ng mga social workers ang mga anti-VAWC desks para makapagbigay ng tamang impormasyon sa kaukulang batas at ng mga dapat gawin sakaling may mga biktimang mag-uulat ng kanilang karanasan.
Kasabay nito ang paglulunsad din ng DSWD ng digital advocacy campaign kung saan itatampok ang mga karapatan at iba pang mga batas na sumusporta sa mga kababaihan.
Pati rin ang mga impormasyon sa mga programa at mga serbisyo para sa mga kababaihan ay kasama sa ibabahagi ng DSWD sa kanilang mga ilulunsad na aktibidad.
“As the month-long celebration has already commenced, the Department encourages the public to observe and participate in the National Women’s Month celebration, in recognition of the significant contributions of the women sector in nation building,” pagtatapos ng pahayag ng ahensya.
