About 1.85 million government employees will receive what’s being dubbed an “early Christmas” bonus this year, as the national government moves to deliver their benefits ahead of schedule.
Though details are still being finalised, the boost is intended to give public-sector workers extra support during the holiday season. It comes amid efforts to enhance morale and help with year-end expenses for employees whose duties often extend through the festive period.
Government agencies are expected to release the official schedule and payment details soon, marking the start of a smoother rollover into the year-end for civil servants across all departments.
