Content creator Emmanuelle “Emman” Atienza, daughter of TV personality Kim Atienza, recently shared an emotional Instagram post reflecting on her journey through mental health struggles. Despite facing criticism for her viral “guess the bill” video, Emman proudly declared that she’s rediscovered herself after years of battling mental health issues.
In her Instagram video, Emman included moments from her childhood to the present, highlighting both her joyful times and struggles, including breakdowns and hospital visits. “I’m really proud of myself and this video, so I really wanted to share it,” she captioned the post, using the hashtags #MentalHealthAwareness and #MentalIllness.
The video depicted raw moments of Emman talking to herself during tough times and captured her feelings of isolation, but it also showcased happier moments, including time spent with friends and participating in volunteer activities.
Followers praised Emman for sharing her story. One commented, “The fact that you’re able to talk about your experience says a lot.”
This is not the first time Emman has opened up about her mental health. In 2022, she revealed her diagnoses of bipolar disorder, ADHD, and Complex PTSD in a digital magazine interview.
Emman is also currently facing backlash for her participation in a viral video alongside Miss World Philippines Krishnah Gravidez, where they played a game guessing the total amount of a bill at a high-end restaurant. Emman responded to critics in a TikTok video, expressing frustration over being attacked for how she spends her money while other celebrities are praised for similar actions.
