Tyrese Haliburton hit a dramatic 21-foot jumper with just 0.3 seconds left to lift the Indiana Pacers to a thrilling 111-110 comeback victory over the Oklahoma City Thunder in Game 1 of the 2025 NBA Finals on Thursday night.
Indiana hadn’t led at any point in the game until Haliburton’s clutch shot capped off a stunning fourth-quarter surge at Paycom Center. The Pacers now hold a 1-0 lead in the best-of-seven series, which continues Sunday in Oklahoma City.
Down by 15 with under 10 minutes remaining, Indiana clawed back behind key plays from Andrew Nembhard, Myles Turner, and Pascal Siakam. Siakam, who led the Pacers with 19 points and 10 rebounds, also made the defensive play that sealed the win by swatting away OKC’s final inbound attempt.
Haliburton finished with 14 points, 10 boards, and six assists. Obi Toppin contributed 17 points off the bench, while Turner and Nembhard added 15 and 14 points, respectively.
Despite 38 points from Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, the Thunder struggled late, hitting only one field goal in the last four minutes. They also failed to capitalize on Indiana’s 25 turnovers, scoring just 11 points from them.
Indiana shot 47.6% from the floor, compared to Oklahoma City’s 39.8%, to steal a crucial win on the road and shift momentum in the Finals.
