The romantic drama Hello, Love, Again, starring Kathryn Bernardo and Alden Richards, has set a new benchmark in Philippine cinema, crossing ₱1 billion at the global box office just ten days after its release. This makes it the first Filipino film to achieve this milestone.

Record-Breaking Success

ABS-CBN Films announced on Sunday, November 24, that the film had earned ₱1.06 billion worldwide as of Saturday, November 23. Star Cinema and GMA Pictures celebrated the achievement with a heartfelt Instagram post saying, “Thank you for the love, and we love you a billion more.”

The sequel smashed records from day one, earning ₱85 million on its opening day, November 13. It later posted the highest single-day gross in Philippine cinema history, with ₱131 million on November 16.

On November 22, it became the highest-grossing Filipino movie of all time, surpassing the ₱924 million earned by Dingdong Dantes and Marian Rivera’s 2023 MMFF entry Rewind.

Hello, Love, Again also broke into the US Top 10 box office, ranking No. 8, and currently holds a stellar 96% rating on Rotten Tomatoes as of November 22.

A Sequel Worth the Wait

Directed by Cathy Garcia-Sampana, Hello, Love, Again continues the story of Joy (Bernardo) and Ethan (Richards), five years after the events of the 2019 hit Hello, Love, Goodbye.

The sequel marks the first collaboration between ABS-CBN’s Star Cinema and GMA Pictures, making the achievement a milestone for both networks.

The film also served as the closing feature at this year’s Asian World Film Festival, where Bernardo received the prestigious Snow Leopard Rising Star Award.

Star-Studded Cast

In addition to Bernardo and Richards, the film boasts a talented ensemble cast, including Joross Gamboa, Jennica Garcia, Valerie Concepcion, Ruby Rodriguez, Kevin Kreider, Lovely Abella, Kakai Bautista, Jameson Blake, and more.

With its emotional storytelling and stunning performances, Hello, Love, Again has not only captivated audiences but has also etched its name in cinematic history.
