Philippine Consulate General reported that the Filipino Community based in Hong Kong is now Covid-19 free. Filipinos who contracted the disease had already recovered and been released from the hospital.
Nevertheless the General advised the Filipino Community to stay alert and continue to observe safety precautions to fight this pandemic as the possible transmission of the Covid-19 still remains.
“Bagamat ang pangkalahatan ay patuloy na ang pagbaba ng COVID-19 sa Hong Kong, nananatili pa din ang posibilidad ng muling pagkalat nito. Dahil dito, ang Konsulado ay patuloy na humihiling sa Filipino community na manatiling alerto upang hindi mahawa sa sakit,” they said in a Facebook post. “Ugaliin pa din ang madalas na paghugas ng kamay, magsuot ng facemask at iwasan ang mga may sintomas ng sakit at matataong lugar,” they added.

The Consulate also reminded the Filipino Community to practice social distancing policy as this will possibly limit the transmission and spread of the Corona Virus Disease.
The Consulate General added that employers respect the rest days of employees who choose to stay at home. They also relayed their readiness to extend any necessary help and assistance to all Filipinos residing in HongKong.
As of June 3, 2020 the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) reported a total of 5,259 OFWs have tested positive for COVID-19. While 2,700 are still undergoing treatment, 2,205 have recovered and 354 have died.
