The House of Representatives has approved a travel clearance for Davao City 1st District Representative Paolo “Pulong” Duterte, allowing him to visit 16 countries and Hong Kong for personal reasons.

According to a document from House Secretary General Reginald Velasco, Duterte’s travel period spans from March 20 to May 10, 2025. The destinations include:

  • Hong Kong
  • China
  • Malaysia
  • Indonesia
  • South Korea
  • Japan
  • Vietnam
  • Cambodia
  • Singapore
  • United States
  • Australia
  • United Kingdom
  • Netherlands
  • Germany
  • France
  • Belgium
  • Italy

The travel clearance noted the trip is not official business but purely personal.

The approval comes amid ongoing developments involving his father, former President Rodrigo Duterte, who is currently detained in The Hague, Netherlands. The ex-president was arrested on March 11 in the Philippines in connection with an International Criminal Court (ICC) warrant tied to alleged crimes against humanity, particularly the drug war and Davao Death Squad killings between 2011 and 2019.

Vice President Sara Duterte, Pulong’s sister, is reportedly the only immediate family member present with their father in the Netherlands.
