Amidst the fury of Typhoon Odette, a husband lost his twins, wife and sister when the wall of a warehouse collapsed and
fall on their home in barangay Maguikay, Mandaue City, Cebu.
Mayor Jonas Cortes and some city councilors visited Harold Bantigue, the father of the twins Eloiza Dionne and Elaiza Dianne, husband of Leah Clarus and brother of Emilita.
The twins, the wife and the sister all perished from the incident.
Cortes and the city councilors gave financial assistance to the husband and promise to conduct an investigation if the warehouse owner have not committed any violations for extending the warehouse.
The mayor also promised to give scholarship for the remaining child.
The mayor also visited the wake of the Enoc family whose family members also perished when Typhoon Odette battered the city.
A firewall collapsed causing the death of the father Jose Winnie, Enoc, his son Arnold and grandaughter Aira Mae.-(April Therese Tan)
