MAYNILA – Nitong Lunes, Oktubre 24, batid ng isang forensic pathologist ang pagdududa sa mga napag-alaman ng National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) sa pagkamatay ng hinihinalang middleman sa pagpatay kay Percy Lapid na si Jun Villamor.
Sinabi ni Dr. Raquel Fortun sa “Rundown” ng ANC na ang inilabas ng NBI ay ang memo na mayroon lamang dalawang pahina. Ikinokonsidera naman ng nasabing doktor na hindi ito isang technical report.
“So, if you’re asking what was the cause of death, what’s written there is so vague. I don’t think you can come up with a conclusion. I suspect they don’t have a conclusion yet,” ani Fortun.
Ani ng doktor din na ang inilabas na dokumento ay patungkol kay Villamor na walang natamong physical injuries.
“They must have searched for the obvious, okay, do you have bullet holes in the body? So they’re saying there’s none. No sharp force trauma, no blunt force, the obvious ones. But can you safely rule out, for instance, what’s more subtle, like asphyxia,” dagdag pa niya.
Napansin din ng doktor na walang examination sa internal organs ng hinihinalang middleman.
Sabi niya, hindi niya nakita ang detalyadong natuklasan sa puso ni Villamor. Kung naroon pa ang puso aniya ay maari niyang suriin ito.
“You know, if you have a sudden death and what I know of this case is it was difficulty of breathing, if that’s correct,” aniya.
Sinabi rin ni Fortun na kung sakaling biglaang pagkamatay, pagtutuunan mo ng pansin ang utak at puso nito. Bagaman, tingnan pa rin ang lahat.
Kinuwestiyon din ng doktor kung bakit isinagawa ang pagsusuri sa bangkay ni Villamor noong tapos na ang pag-eembalsamo rito.
“What does embalming do? The good thing is it preserves. But the problem is, it’s chemical preservation. So that means you alter what’s inside. You introduce chemicals in the body and therefore, what good would your samples be,” dagdag ng forensic pathologist.
Sa ngayon, walang lumalapit sa doktor upang magpasuri ng katawan ni Villamor.
Nabanggit ni Fortun na kung mayroong lumapit, marami itong titingnan sa nasabing katawan.
“I really doubt, if you’re not a pathologist, how would you be able to know how to examine the organs, what to get, how much to get, what documentation that you do,” aniya.
