Actress and TV host Maine Mendoza called on Filipinos to make the most of their voting rights by selecting candidates who truly care about the country’s future.
Ahead of the May 12 midterm elections, Mendoza posted detailed profiles of all senatorial candidates on her Facebook page, hoping to help voters make informed choices. “Let’s not waste this chance. Choose those who are honest and deserving. Vote smart—for our country and our fellow Filipinos,” she wrote.
In the comments, Mendoza clarified that she shared the profiles to help the public evaluate the candidates more thoroughly. She also stressed the importance of verifying facts and not falling for misinformation. “Fake news is everywhere. Please be responsible—research and fact-check. Vote wisely and for the right people,” she added.
Other celebrities, including Kim Chiu, Darren Espanto, Maja Salvador, and Erwan Heussaff, have also exercised their right to vote in Eleksyon 2025.
