Singer and actress Mandy Moore has shared her heartbreak after being forced to evacuate her home due to the ongoing California wildfires.

In an emotional Instagram post, Moore documented the devastation, posting videos of her neighborhood shrouded in smoke and small fires burning nearby. She expressed her grief, saying she was “in shock and feeling numb” for the immense loss suffered by so many, including her family.

“My children’s school is gone. Our favorite restaurants, leveled. So many friends and loved ones have lost everything too. Our community is broken,” she wrote, while vowing to rebuild alongside her neighbors.

Despite the devastation, Moore expressed gratitude for her family’s safety, saying, “I’m so thankful we got out last night before it was too late.”

Support and Resilience

Moore thanked friends for their kindness, providing her family with clothes and blankets after the evacuation. She admitted to shielding her children from her own sadness and worry, writing, “Praying for everyone in our beautiful city. So gutted for the destruction and loss.”

At the time of her posts, Moore was uncertain about the status of her home, adding, “I don’t know if our place made it.”

Widespread Impact

The wildfires have forced several Hollywood celebrities to evacuate their homes, including Paris Hilton, Jamie Lee Curtis, Mark Hamill, Eugene Levy, and James Woods.

Strong winds and narrow streets have exacerbated the situation, causing significant delays in evacuation efforts and widespread traffic jams.
