Singer-songwriter Moira Dela Torre has written a new song about being abandoned, with help from fellow musician Ogie Alcasid.

“(I) finished another song at the Alcasid’s last night [with] the help of my tito (uncle) Ogie Alcasid, who humbly asked me ‘may I?’ and played the piano for me,” Dela Torre described her time spent at the homes of Ogie Alcasid and Regine Velasquez-Alcasid, two other Kapamilya artists.

The Philippine Daily Inquirer reports that the ‘Kumpas’ singer shared a video on her Facebook page on September 20, showing how they had completed a new song.

Prior to Alcasid accompanying her and playing the keyboard to assist her, Dela Torre is first shown in the video clip playing the piano by herself.

“Saan ka na? / Babalik ka pa ba? / Hintayin ba kita? / Parang di naman lumaban / Pwede bang paniwalaan na merong iba? / Ano ba ang aking halaga?” she sung the lyrics of the new song.

“What a dream!” The singer-songwriter considered working with Alcasid “a dream.”

She also acknowledged the presence of her “Idol Philippines” co-judge Chito Miranda and his wife, Neri Naig for inspiring them while the song was being written.

“”Thank na you din sa bago kong paboritong ate Neri at kuya Chito na nagcheer lang sa likod,” she said.

Dela Torre has not yet revealed the song’s title or announced whether a studio recording would be made accessible.

Meanwhile, netizens recognized and praised her new appearance in another trending post.

Dela Torre posted pictures of herself on her Facebook page while posing in a glittering silver dress on Monday, September 19.

In the caption, she wrote, “thank you for making me feel extra beautiful last night, ily guys.”

As of this writing, more than 460,000 internet users had reacted ‘heart’ to her post. Most of the feedback mentioned how much they adored the singer and judge of “Idol Philippines.”
