Niall Horan has opened up about his grief following the sudden death of his fellow One Direction bandmate, Liam Payne.
In a heartfelt social media post on Friday, Niall shared that he was “absolutely devastated” by the news, saying, “It just doesn’t feel real.” He went on to praise Liam’s infectious energy, describing him as “the brightest in every room,” always bringing joy and comfort to those around him.
“I will cherish every moment we had forever,” Niall added, expressing how fortunate he felt to have seen Liam at his recent Buenos Aires concert on October 2. Reflecting on their last goodbye, Niall shared, “I sadly didn’t know that after saying goodbye and hugging him that evening, I would be saying goodbye forever. It’s heartbreaking.”
Niall also extended his condolences to Liam’s family, including his partner Nicola and his son, Bear. He ended his tribute with a simple yet poignant message: “Thank you for everything, Payno. Love you brother.”
