Authorities in Capiz have enforced several road closures and traffic rerouting after continuous heavy rains triggered flooding and landslides in parts of the province.
According to local disaster officials, sections of national and provincial roads were rendered impassable to both light and heavy vehicles, particularly in low-lying areas and mountainous zones affected by soil erosion. Motorists are urged to take alternative routes and follow advisories from the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) and local government units (LGUs).
Emergency response teams have been deployed to assist stranded residents and clear debris from affected areas. Meanwhile, authorities continue to monitor weather conditions as Tropical Storm Ramil brings more rain across Western Visayas.
