Sea travel between Romblon, Marinduque, and Batangas has been temporarily suspended as Tropical Storm Ramil continues to bring rough seas and strong winds across parts of the Philippines.
The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) announced the suspension on Sunday, advising travelers and shipping operators to postpone trips until weather conditions improve. The decision aims to ensure the safety of passengers, crew, and vessels amid the storm’s intensified movement over the Luzon area.
Authorities have also reminded residents in coastal communities to stay alert for possible storm surges, heavy rainfall, and flooding as Ramil moves closer to the country’s western seaboard.
Fishermen and small boat operators have been strongly advised not to venture out into the sea until further notice.
