Sam Milby couldn’t hold back his tears as he opened up about his painful breakup with ex-fiancée Catriona Gray during an interview with Boy Abunda on March 3.

The actor admitted he still finds it difficult to talk about their split, which was confirmed in February 2025. He explained that the end of their engagement made it even more heartbreaking.

“It’s not just about being boyfriend and girlfriend. We were engaged. And to have that not push through—it’s been really rough, honestly,” Milby said, his voice breaking.

Despite the pain, he refused to disclose further details, emphasizing his desire to protect their past relationship. “There was so much love and respect. It hasn’t been easy [moving on],” he added.

No Third Party Involvement

Milby also denied allegations that a third party, particularly singer Moira dela Torre, was involved in the breakup. He stressed that he only spoke about the matter to clear up false rumors.

“I felt the need to clear the issue that there was no third party, and Moira was not the cause,” he clarified.

While he did not share specifics, he also revealed that his friendship with Dela Torre has ended.

Milby and Gray got engaged in February 2023 and were reportedly set to wed in 2024 before their unexpected split.
