Sparkle star Sienna Stevens clinched the Best Child Performer award for her outstanding performance in Green Bones at the 2024 Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) Gabi ng Parangal.

A Heartfelt Moment

The young actress delivered an emotional and heartfelt speech upon accepting the award:

“Wow. Una po, thank you kay Papa God, I love you. Thank you sa tiwala niyo sa akin, sa award, sa pag-coach, sa pag-arte wala pong iba kundi ang mama. Super thank you mommy for guiding me, I love you. Sa daddy at kapatid ko, Sean, thank you for supporting and believing in me.”

She also expressed gratitude to her GMA Sparkle family, her manager Tita Tracey, and the Green Bones team, including Kapuso filmmaker Zig Dulay and the production staff.

“Hindi ko po magagawa maayos ang role na ito kundi sa inyong lahat. At tsaka sa Green Bones family, thank you.”

Tough Competition

Sienna triumphed over other talented nominees, including:

  • Kian Co for Espantaho
  • Zion Cruz for The Kingdom

About Green Bones

In the award-winning film, Sienna stars alongside an ensemble cast led by Dennis Trillo and Ruru Madrid, with performances from Michael De Mesa, Alessandra De Rossi, Kylie Padilla, and Iza Calzado, among others.

Directed by Zig Dulay and based on a story by JC Rubio, the screenplay was written by National Artist Ricky Lee and Anj Atienza.
