Legazpi City ––Re-electionist Tabaco City Mayor Krisel Lagman-Luistro has declared strong support over the candidacy of Vice President Leni Robredo for the country’s top post.
Luistro said that Robredo is the Philippines ray of hope as she is a reliable and competent leader that could propel unity.
Luistro who filed her certificate of candidacy under the Liberal Party said that the country’s second highest official in the land is truly the voice of reason in the middle of Covid-19 pandemic that has crippled the Philippines but accomplished so much to help the needy in these trying times.
“Vice President Leni Robredo has always been a reliable and competent leader, a ray of hope, the picture of composure, and the voice of reason in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic that has crippled our nation and devastated lives and livelihoods,” she said in her Facebook post.
According to Luistro, Robredo has accomplished so much to help the needy in these trying times without resorting to strong-arm tactics or fearmongering.
“We need a leader who will not only lead but will also listen. We need a leader who does not wield an iron fist but offers a compassionate helping hand,” she said.
“We need a leader who unites, rather than divides. We need a leader who is trustworthy and true to her word and not one who is deceitful, regularly spreads lies, and defames others, including God,” she added.
Luistro said that the country needs a compassionate, sincere, pro- active, upright and decisive leader like Robredo to guide and steer full recovery.
“We need a compassionate, sincere, pro-active,upright, purposeful, and decisive leader like Leni Robredo as our leader to guide and steer the Philippines to full recovery and sustainable human development,” the lady mayor said.
In 2018, the Vice President went to Tabaco City where she led the Istorya ng Pagasa, Tabaco edition where Luistro said that Robredo inspired and the leader needed today.
“VP Leni inspired us to share stories of hope amidst the chaos and uncertainty. She leads us by exporting hope not fear, love not hate, kindness not apathy. She is the leader we need now. Leni Robredo has my full support,” Mayor Krisel Lagman-Luistro said.
But as Mayor Krisel strongly supported the candidacy of Vice President Leni Robredo, his younger brother re-electionist Vice Gov. Grex Lagman is supporting different presidential aspirants.
Krisel’s brother, Grex Lagman who is seeking for the second term filled his certificate of candidacy under the Aksyon Demokratiko political party and is supporting the candidacy of presidential aspirant Isko Moreno.
