Incumbent Mayor Vico Sotto has secured his third and final term after being officially declared the winner of the Pasig City mayoral race in the 2025 elections. Running as an independent, Sotto emerged victorious against challengers Sara Discaya, Cory Palma, and Eagle Ayaon.
Based on partial and unofficial results as of 10:54 a.m., Sotto garnered an overwhelming 286,897 votes. His closest opponent, Discaya, received 24,163 votes, while Palma and Ayaon trailed far behind with 254 and 243 votes, respectively.
“We are very thankful,” Sotto said in a statement. “I’m grateful to all Pasigueños for their trust, support, and this fresh mandate.”
He pledged to continue strengthening the reforms initiated during his previous terms, emphasizing that the 2025 campaign posed unique challenges unlike any before.
“People no longer want traditional politics. They reject old practices like vote buying and government kickbacks,” Sotto noted.
Addressing speculation about his future political ambitions, he stressed his commitment to serving Pasig without distractions: “Let’s focus on our work. That’s what matters.”
In the vice mayoral race, Dodot Jaworski also emerged victorious, defeating Iyo Caruncho Bernardo and Kuya Marc Dela Cruz with 237,117 votes.
Meanwhile, Roman Romulo won the congressional seat with 284,871 votes, significantly ahead of Ian Sia, who was previously disqualified over a controversial remark.
