When outdoors, wearing of face masks in the Province of Cebu is now an option and no longer a requirement.

This as Cebu Governor Gwendolyn Garcia issued Executive Order (EO) No. 16 that states that wearing of face masks will only be required in indoor and air-conditioned settings, and for individuals who are unwell and experiencing symptoms of Covid-19.

However, the governor’s EO still highly encourages the public to wear face masks in crowded places.

“Wearing of face masks in Cebu Province is “optional” in well-ventilated and open spaces and shall only be “required” in closed or air-conditioned spaces,” part of the governor’s EO reads.-(April Therese Tan)
