A 42-year-old woman lost her life after being fatally stabbed by her estranged husband inside a modern jeepney in Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu.
According to the Lapu-Lapu City Police Office, the couple had been separated for 12 years. The suspect, consumed by jealousy and suspicions of the victim’s involvement with another man, had been secretly stalking her.
In a tragic escalation, the suspect attacked the victim, stabbing her six times.
Amid the chaos, a female passenger attempting to flee the jeepney succumbed to cardiac arrest, further heightening the tragedy.
Authorities swiftly apprehended the suspect following the incident, ensuring he will face justice for his actions.
